Enclosures set for South America
DSM has just completed the first of three gas turbine enclosures for a new development in Venezuela. Two more will be fabricated over the coming month.
This recent contract comes after the success of a similar stainless steel enclosure completed earlier in 2010.

DSM wins four intake systems
DSM has recently won a large contract to supply four stainless steel gas turbine intake systems for a pair of North Sea oil platforms.
The order is the second biggest in DSMs history and coincides with a recent upturn in orders for the power generation/oil and gas industries.

DSM has bought the assets of Birtley Construction (NE) Ltd after they went into administration.
The acquisition greatly increases the range of products offered by DSM and means we can offer a full structural steel fabrication service to our clients.

Enclosures Good to Go
A brace of stainless steel gas turbine enclosures have just passed final inspection after an intensive 10 week fabrication schedule.
The pair which will be connected on-site are destined for an offshore facility in the Indian Ocean and are the first fully stainless enclosures made by DSM for over 5 years - the majority being painted mild steel.

Workshop Employees undergo refesher training
All members of our workshop team are currently undergoing a complete safety refresher training package. This covers all aspects of the metal fabrication process from operating machinery to working at height.
The number of workplace accidents at DSM has fell by over 50% in the previous five years, with no reportable injuries occurring for over 2 years. We hope this latest training will improve our record further.
